Have been asked to put some of these snippets from a BBC 2 series I was part of with the legendry Welsh comedian MAX BOYCE … True it was way back and I’m only just about recognisable…… In those days I went by the name VALERY ANN … it became corrupted to VALERYAN some years later after leaving THE SETTLERS …..
In this episode of POEMS & PINTS – BBC 2 back in the 70s – I had to sing a folk number ” The Crafty Maid’s Policy” and also to speak loads of ditties .. with a Welsh accent! As I came from Surrey, this was a tad difficult … however, Welsh comedian RYAN DAVIES patiently taught me the accent during rehearsals …….
